Stepping into Blanco feels like momentarily travelling without luggage and without planning. The name, menu, space, and storytelling are all aligned. Blanco was a blank canvas for our inspiration.
The project emerged as a true playground. The co-founder of Bureau Blanc is also a co-owner of Blanco, which gave us freedom to sharply define the concept from the very start. Together with the Bureau Blanc team and interior architect Anthony Boelaert, we built a place where atmosphere, taste, and storytelling come together effortlessly. The cuisine is shaped by David Cantré, partner of Céline, who is the chef and co-owner, and is driven by a pronounced passion for Mediterranean and Mexican flavours. This passion is not only reflected on the plate, but also the overall vibe of the restaurant which is relaxed, sunny, and vibrant.
The website was intentionally designed to be clear and intuitive. Guests should be able to reserve effortlessly while immediately sensing what Blanco stands for. Functionality and atmosphere go hand in hand here.
Blanco stands for lightness, simplicity, and character. These values formed the foundation of the branding. We chose a bright, airy colour palette combined with a black logo, strong, legible, and timeless in communication. This choice was consistently extended into the visual language: behind-the-scenes photography in black and white, alternated with warm, inviting atmosphere imagery.
Social media is key for a hospitality venue.
At Blanco, we focus on consistent content: distinctive photography, graphic lines that resonate throughout the design, and stories that leave you wanting more.
We fully tailored the photography to the venue and Blanco’s identity. In post-production, we opted for a natural, warm filter to enhance the restaurant’s atmosphere. The result was imagery that not only shows what the venue looks like but also conveys what it feels like to actually be there.
